donnaDonna Aikins is a Graphic Designer living in Pacific Grove with her husband since 1991. She specializes in corporate identities, (logos, letterheads and marketing packets, newsletters), product packaging, workbook layout and design. Some of her clients are nationally and internationally known such as: Sony, Heavy Duty, Timezone, Life’s Too Short, and English Studio.

She has worked with the Board Resource Center since 1998 on plain language publications such as Community Conversations, Making My Own Choices series, Making Complex Ideas Simple CD and numerous family directed and regional center focused publications for the SCILS Group. She has been a team member in designing and implementing hundreds of icons to help make information more understandable for people with limited literacy ability.

Her design philosophy is to make each piece easy to read and understand while communicating its purpose. She has worked with many non-profit organizations, such as: The Volunteer Center, The SCILS Group, Rape Crisis Center, Rio Resolution Run, Professional Women’s Network, Girl Scouts, Castroville Artichoke Festival, and the Steinbeck Center in Salinas.

Donna’s second focus, Common Bond, is a product development design team started in 2001. She was awarded a patent on The Cocoon, A Wearable Blanket for the Active Person. Donna is a team player and collaborates on many projects to bring ideas into reality.

Donna is a graduate of Ohio State University from the Department of Industrial Design studying Visual Communications.
